Westridge Cabinets was established as a cabinet sales branch in 1983. The company operated as a mid stream operation ordering components from external suppliers and assembling them for delivery direct to Westridge customers. The original product offering was targeted to home builders in the Red Deer region and it included two door styles, one species of wood, and a limited colour selection. The Company continued to operate as a sales branch until 1986 at which time it initiated manufacturing operations to better control lead times and service to its customers.

As the company grew it moved toward a just in time manufacturing philosophy to facilitate short production times for all customers including those with custom designs. This model continues to be the driving force behind Westridge’s operations.

Westridge Cabinets opened its Calgary sales branch in 1992 significantly expanding its market reach. Additional branches were opened and an expanded Dealer network was established throughout the 1990s.

Westridge moved to its current location in 2000 originally opening a 50,000 square foot facility. The company quickly met capacity in this facility and added an additional 40,000 sq ft in 2005 and another 40,000 sq ft in 2007. Westridge employs approximately 300 people and is positioned to continue growth of the business in the coming years.

Westridge is recognized as a premier supplier of custom kitchen and bath cabinetry to the Alberta construction industry servicing both single family and multi-family facilities. Our current product line is available in oak, maple, hickory, cherry, alder, knotty alder and pvc- thermofoil. It comes in some 38 colours, 3 glazes, 45 door styles and 7 different drawer types to choose from.

The fundamental principal that governs Westridge’s activities in all cases is to make promises that can be kept, and then keep them. This is not always easy to do but the company is firmly committed to this principal and is willing to do whatever it takes to make good on a promise. It is this integrity that has been a major factor in the steady growth that has built Westridge Cabinets into the company that it is today.
