Westridge total Care Warranty - Exclusions, Education and Verbiage:

Wood

All wood surfaces vary in color and character and will, in varying degrees, change and grow more beautiful as they age. This is the warmth and characteristic inherent to Westridge Cabinet’s real wood offering. Exposure to sunlight, household cleaners, smoke and other interior environmental conditions may also contribute to alter the color over time. These color variations result from the natural aging of the cabinetry materials and even more so, the environment of the home and are not covered under this warranty. As a result, it is impossible to guarantee an exact match to any replaced component without the benefit of the natural aging process that the rest of the cabinetry has experienced. Therefore we cannot guarantee that an exact match of any replaced component can be achieved immediately. Usually, depending upon sunlight exposure and other interior environment variables, the warranted replacement component will age and typically catch up within 3-6 months. Discoloration due to water damage, effects of excessive dryness such as splitting or excessive shrinking, lack of care, improper care, excessive grime, burns, food stains, chemical stains such as household cleaners are all considered misuse or neglect and will void all warranty or extended warranty.

High Gloss

High Gloss PVC Thermofoil and / or High Gloss Laminate doors warranty is limited to one year from original date of installation or delivery against discoloration or delaminating. Any surface scratches or buffing is considered normal wear and tear and is not warranted.

Heat

Exposure to excessive heat (self clean ranges, toasters) or steam (coffee makers and kettles) are also not warranted. It is recommended that in all cases the appliance be pulled out beyond the adjacent cabinet surface to eliminate damage of this type to your fine cabinetry. In the case of PVC Thermofoil kitchens, heat shields serve to protect against discoloration on a day to day basis and are affective in this capacity. They are not effective at blocking the heat from an oven in a “Self Clean” cycle. Any range should be pulled out 8-12 inches to provide relief from excessive heat before an oven is put in “Self Clean” mode. Doing so after the cycle begins is both dangerous to you and the cabinetry surfaces.

Door Hinge Adjustment

Houses “settling” after being built may often cause doors to become misaligned. This is not a warranty issue and misaligned doors can be easily adjusted. Instructions on hinge adjustment are found within the Westridge Total Care Package, or a paid service call may be booked.
